Substitute Teacher Requirements

  • Current California Credential or Substitute Permit issued by the Merced County Office of Education

  • Current TB Test results within the last 60 days (good for four years from date of test)

  • Finger Print Clearance

  • BA/BS Degree or 90 units & current enrollment at a 4yr. University. (verified by official transcripts)

  • Passage of CBEST (verified by official test scores)

  • Completed LBUSD Substitute Application


All substitutes must be registered with the Merced County Office of Education in order to be employed by the Los Banos Unified School District.
