The Nursing Staff of the Los Banos Unified School District is responsible for Mandated State Screenings for all of the students who attend school in our District.  They also educate the 4th grade girls and the 5th and 6th grade girls and boys in the area of family life.  The nursing staff makes sure that all children entering our District from other districts or enrolling in kindergarten have had all of the necessary immunizations required by the State of California for school entry as well as making sure that all 1st graders receive their mandated CHDP (Child Health and Disability Prevention Program) exams.

State law requires that parents be notified of their rights and responsibilities in certain matters pertaining to their children's education.  Please see "Notice of Parents Rights & Responsibilities" of the "Mandatory Notices for Parents and Legal Guardians booklet located under the Welfare/Attendance tab on this website.  Thank you.
