Los Banos FFA Graduate Karley Rocha Leads Team to National Victory at World Dairy Expo
Los Banos High School Class of 2026 graduate Karley Rocha, currently attending Oklahoma State University, has achieved a rare milestone in competitive agricultural judging, capturing a national championship at the prestigious World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.
Rocha earned her spot on the California State 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Team after placing in the top four at the State 4-H Dairy Contest last spring. Rocha and her fellow California teammates delivered a dominant performance last weekend in Madison to take home 1st place overall.
This national title marks a historic moment for the local agricultural education program. Records show only one other team has ever won the World Dairy Expo contest—a squad that coincidentally also featured a former Los Banos FFA member.
Rocha's national championship builds upon an already distinguished competitive record. In 2023, as a member of the state-winning Los Banos FFA Dairy Cattle Judging Team, Rocha helped lead her squad to a 3rd-place finish at the National FFA Convention. That performance earned the team an invitation to represent the United States at the Royal Highland International Judging
Competition in Scotland, where they achieved overall High Individual honors and 3rd High Pair. Rocha’s dedication to agricultural excellence runs deep in the local school system. She is the daughter of Dawn Rocha, a dedicated district employee and teacher at Charleston Elementary School.
