A surveyor recently stopped by with some unique equipment, looking for something special on the building walls near 7th and K. After a great conversation, we discovered a piece of history—a 1933 U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey marker! One of only two in Los Banos! ✨ Take a look at the picture of the marker below and celebrate this neat piece of history with us!🏫💛 Fun facts about the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey: 📜 It employed over 10,000 people during the Great Depression. 🗺️ Produced 100 million maps for the Allies in WWII. 🌊 Today, it’s part of NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey. #LosBanosUSD #GeodeticSurvey #CommunityPride
