The safety of our students is always our highest priority. This afternoon we were informed about an assault that occurred off campus where a student sustained major injuries on the way home. We take such matters seriously and do not tolerate violence of any kind. Students found to be involved in this incident with be disciplined according to school district policy. Additionally, we are working closely with our partners in law enforcement to ensure that the incident is handled fully and appropriately. As a result, there may be additional police presence at district facilities tomorrow as a part of the investigation. We encourage anyone with information about this incident to reach out directly to the Los Banos Police Department.

In addition to serving as president, he also commanded the Continental Army during the American Revolution (1775–83) and presided over the convention that drafted the U.S. Constitution.
